New years in Zurich Switzerland! Three planes one 7 hour layover and we made it to zurich then drove around for about 2 and a half hours looking for our hotel only to find out it was about a 5 or 10 minute drive from where we started at the airport. Five minutes after we found the place carly arrived, her flight was late because going out of toronto they had to make an emergency stop in Quebec. Apparently there was some kind of fight in the back one or two people we escorted off and arrested.
Anyways after a shower and a nap we headed down town for the New years celebration! The streets were packed with people something like 200 000 people come downtown to watch the fireworks on the lake. There were bars and djs set up on the streets everywhere and the firework show was the best one ive ever seen. Deffinitly a great start to my trip but I can't wait to get a snowboard strapped to my feet so I can slide down some of that wonderful white stuff! Heading to Austria today hopefully be snowboarding by tomorow!!!!
